There are two things in this world that I hate. Those are a liar and a thief! Which my step-son is both.
Yesterday, he came home, he blamed Aiden for taking his money out of his room. Aiden denied that he took anything. Now before this, Aiden did take his money and he even said he took some coins because he was gonna give it to his daddy to by him chocolate. A 4 year old has no reason to lie and who could make up a authentic excuse like that? Give stole coins to his father, seriously? So anyways, I let it be known that no one was in his room to take his money; at that point my husband started looking around the house. He was down in Matthew's room talking to him, when he decided he was gonna check Matthew's book bag.
Note: Matthew is grounded for 1 week because he lied about where he was going on his bike. No TV, video games..nothing.
In the book bag he finds Matthew's game boy, a World of Warcraft magazine Tony had be looking for, a computer game called Fate and a Wii Video game with the sticker "Property of: Marcus Whitman Junior High". At that point he was trying to back track so fast I think he stumbled over his own words. Mind you he was caught last week stealing his math teachers $200+ calculator.
Today, Tony takes off work to go to the school to speak with the Dean. When he gets there Matthew had failed to turn in the game so, he was called to the office. Tony said his blood drained from his body when he saw his father standing there. Apparently, they had set up cameras to catch the thief because that wasn't the only game that has come up missing. Luckily, his dad caught him before the school did.
This weekend I have to wake at 6am because Matthew has weekend detention that starts at 8am. Not to mention he has in school suspension. The Sheriff asked permission to "put the fear in him" and of course my husband whole-heartedly agreed. No charges will be filed at this time. This is his 2nd strike; 3rd strike he's out.
What a lovely Thursday this is!
Well, at least the young man has parents that care and are trying. Don't be upset with yourself if that's not enough, because sometimes it isn't. You can only do what you can do; he makes his own choices, and, at some point, he will deal with the consequences.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, has he thought of running for elected office? ROFL!
LOL!
