Once again Kaplan financial department has called. They first started this past Saturday morning asking for money. When the guy didn't like my answer he hung up on me. First of all, do not call my house asking for money and then turn around and hang up on me.
So, this afternoon they called again. I was getting ready to start my A & P I class. Mind you I just paid them $100 a few days ago. With this phone call, I felt sorry for the man because I didn't hold back. First term here at Kaplan they told me I had a balance on my account. Turns out the financial officer screwed up and I ended up having a $260 credit. They changed my financial officer. The newest officer they have given me will not return my emails or phone calls. I've been trying to reach him because I'm wanting to change programs. Now, in the forth term, I owe money again. I told the guy all of this and I was irritated and frankly, pissed off. I let him know real quick that I will may $100 a month until it is paid and I will pay it on my own terms not by his computer screen.
I beginning to think Kaplan isn't the school for me. I have had nothing but financial trouble with them since I started. Sadly, I am not the only one that has had trouble with the financial department. I feel real sorry for the next financial person to call me from Kaplan.....they will swear they spoke with the devil!

You know, I hear a lot of stories with the financial aid department. I personally don't experience that because I luckily have student loans and get an educational expense check. I think they probably do try to take advantage of people that pay cash and that is why I went the route that I did. I hope everything gets worked out. Other than financial aid, I really do think that Kaplan is a great school.

ReplyDeleteI do have student loans but my loans aren't enough to cover the entire duration of my schooling. So, I pay out of pocket $1,200+ a semister. I pay them every month. There is no need for them harassing me. They keep it up I will be filing charges, lawsuit, something. I'm sick of it. The financial aid department has ruined it....all.
