I am on the hunt for a new school to attend. Things just are not working out here at Kaplan. The financial department calls me 1, 2, or 3 times a day, including weekends to ask for money. I have been paying them $100.00 a month and I'm not paying anything more than that. This is past the harassment phase.
So, I called them this morning after speaking with my Academic Advisor and she told me I was on an automatic calling list. I asked her if this conversation was being recorded and she said she couldn't confirm that. So I let her know once again like along with all the other people I've spoken too about this...$100 buck a month. That's it! To go ahead and put a note on my account that if financial people call my house again be prepared to be cursed out because I've had a enough of this bullshit. After that it was, "I will make a note on the account." End of conversation.
They are worse than the credit card companies and on a good note they only call once every 6-9 months because I slip up and forget.
I AM DONE WITH KAPLAN!!
tisha, I am very sorry to hear abut this sitation. Do you want me to talk to the advisor via an e-mail? I will if you want me to. I don't know what the reaction would be, but I am sure there wuold be ocncern at a different level.. prof J
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it.
ReplyDeleteProfessor,
ReplyDeleteI have spoken with my advisor about this and she tells me nothing she can do since it's a different department. I have spoken with the people in Financial Aid and they tell me nothing they can do about the "automatic call list" and as long as I have a balance I will stay on that list. They call me every, single day. Sometimes more than once? Tomorrow I'm going to Radio Shack to get a phone recorder and start recording how many times they call and the conversations. I know there is a law somewhere about harassment.
You can try but I'm not sure if it would help. I do know it's distracting me from my studies.
